Job CodesJob codes are used to speed up data entry in the Job Details window. With some forethought and planning they can eliminate data entry completely for some jobs by entering in preset words and phrases. To create or modify job codes, select \Maintenance \Job Codes from the Main Menu. You will probably require Administrator access level to access this area. Initial Status CodesThese codes are used in the Initial Status/Request field on the Instructions tab of the Job Details window. (This field may be renamed or even completely hidden depending on your system configuration.) The following window appears when you click the Initial Status/Request button or enter an unrecognised code in the field below the button.
To search
The text for the selected code will appear in the lower part of the window. You may also key any text into the lower part of the window. To select a single code, double click on it, or highlight it and click the Select button or press the Enter key. To select multiple descriptions, highlight each one in turn and press the Space bar so that it appears in the lower part of the window. To exit the window, click the Select button or press the Enter key. Once the window has closed and you are returned to the Job Details window you can edit the selected codes. You can enter customer-specific Status Codes in the Customer Details window. If customer-specific Status Codes exist, they are displayed instead of the standard list of Status Codes. Standard PhrasesThe operator can select from a list of standard phrases when entering Service Details (Off-site reports) or Initial Status/Request (in the Job Details window), Site Notes (in the Location Details window) or updating a Contractor Invoice. To add or change Standard Phrases, select \Maintenance \Smart Setup \Job Codes \Standard Phrases from the Main Menu. Status CodesStatus codes are used to quickly enter the Initial Status/Request in the Job Details window. You can enter customer-specific Status Codes in the Customer Details window. If customer-specific Status Codes exist, they are displayed instead of the standard list of Status Codes. |
